■ For those using Shinkansen or train
From Nagasaki Station ⇒ About 8 minutes on foot (600m)
Take the tram from [Nagasaki Station-mae] on the Nagasaki Electric Tramway Line 1, bound for Sofukuji.
10 minutes (7 stops) to Kanko-dori Station ※Fare: 140 yen

■ For those driving
Exit from the Kyushu Transversal Expressway [Nagasaki Oita Line / Nagasaki Expressway] ※Toll section (300m)
Take the right fork and follow the signs for [Nagasaki / Saga] on the Nagasaki Expressway [Nagasaki Oita Line / Nagasaki Expressway] ※Toll section (122km)
Proceed on the Nagasaki Dejima Road / National Route 324 ※Toll section (3.1km)
Continue along [Tsukimachi-dori] and enter [Kokaido-mae-dori], heading towards the Hamamachi Arcade [National Route 324] for 6 minutes (1.1km)

※Please note there is no dedicated parking lot.

①-1 If you are arriving via local line, please exit the ticket gate and head to the right toward the “Kamome Exit (East Exit)”.

①-2 If you are arriving via Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen, please exit the ticket gate and head to the right toward the “Kamome Exit (East Exit)”.

② This is the “Kamome Exit (East Exit)”. After exiting through the Kamome Exit, please continue straight ahead.

③ Please go straight from the exit and proceed in the direction of the arrow, using the signs as a guide.

④ Please go straight up the escalator.

*There is also an elevator and stairs right next to it.

⑤ Once you reach the top of the escalator, go straight and turn in the direction of the arrow.

⑥ Please go straight and go down the second set of stairs.

⑥-2 1⃣ Look for the sign for “Bound for Sofukuji”.

⑦-1  Please board the streetcar bound for 【1⃣ Sofukuji】 and get off at the 【Kankodori】 stop. (Approx. 11 min.)

From Nagasaki Electric Tramway (Streetcar) “㉗ Nagasaki-Ekimae”:

・Nagasaki Electric Tramway Line 1 bound for Sofukuji, get off at “㉝ Kankodori” (One-way 150 yen: travel time approx. 11 min.)

※IC transportation cards are also accepted.

Please touch your card to the reader on the streetcar when boarding and alighting.

⑦-2 Use the blue-line tram from Nagasaki Station-mae to Kanko-dori (nearest to animate Nagasaki).
Nagasaki Station-mae ⇒ Kanko-dori (Sofukuji-bound)
Kanko-dori ⇒ Nagasaki Station-mae (Akaboshi-bound)

⑦-3 You can also charge IC cards or exchange coins inside the tram!

⑧ After getting off at 【Kanko-dori】, you will see the arcade shopping street ahead on your left. Enter the arcade.

⑨ Cross the pedestrian crossing and proceed into the arcade between “Iwasaki Honpo Hamamachi Kanko-dori Store” and “Bunmeido Sohonten Kanko-dori Store.”

⑩ Walk straight past “Iwasaki Honpo” until you reach the intersection. On your left, you’ll see “HAMACROSS411” and “ABC Mart,” and on your right, “McDonald’s.”

⑪ At the intersection where “ABC Mart” is located, turn left.

⑫ Continue walking past “Matsumoto Kiyoshi” and “Saint Marc Cafe”

⑬ When you reach “3COINS,” look up and you’ll see the 【animate】 sign. animate is located on the 3rd floor of this building. Please take the escalator to the 3rd floor. (The escalator is for ascending only.)

There are also stairs and an elevator at the back of the escalator. Please use these when leaving.
